For those competition and production cutters where a dull meet is a loss, or where wasted minutes mean lost profits, there has long been a need for a "Secret Weapon".
Prepolish with 3,000 on the copper outer band, then jump to the BATT™ center region for polish with no change in height adjustment! Metallurgically bonded inlaid BATT™ section allows many resurfacings. These 8" laps are now offered for sale, in limited quantities.

Because the RedWing is a SOLID COPPER LAP, machined out, cast full of BATT™ in the center, and then machined again, the RedWing does cost more than the standard BATT™, but can save much time over the life of the lap.
